The following source provided us with information about how the endangered species act was strengthened in order to more effectively protect animals. This article discuss some of the changes that were made to Endangered Species Act in order to make it more flexible when it comes to the completion of a federal project. This article shows that the government is not willing to always put the environment first. Politicians think that a federal project is sometimes more important than all the endangered species living in the area of that project. This source was used to that endangered species are not fully protected and there is so much more that can be done to improve the Endangered Species Act.

It discusses Bush's decision to give federal agencies more leeway when completing projects that affect endangered species. Federal agencies can now decide when a construction project will impact the endangered species in the area without a scientific review. This article was used to explain the cartoon int eh Ventura Country Star since they are related.
